Biography:
Experience includes: Successful representation of individuals, businesses and organizations in civil litigation, complex personal injury, employment discrimination litigation and professional liability litigation at the trial and appellate levels in both state and federal courts. Representation in complicated civil matters, include defending physicians, dentists, hospitals, and long-term care facilities in professional negligence cases. Jackie has represented individuals in personal injury claims arising out of motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and wrongful death. She has defended individuals and businesses in civil matters, including construction disputes, contract disputes, and negligence claims. Jackie has represented employers and employees in labor and employment litigation, including but not limited to, claims involving Title VII discrimination, Americans with Disabilities Act, Equal Pay Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act. Professionally, she is a member of the American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys, Defense Research Institute, and North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys. Jackie is a member of the Board of Governors of the North Carolina Bar Association as well as a member of the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Bar Association Foundation. She is a member of the Litigation Section Council of the North Carolina Bar Association. Jackie frequently provides presentations on the subject of medical negligence.
